Welcome everyone..

...to the website for the parents of our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

Scouting is all about fun, challenges and adventure. Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouting develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.

Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart. Every young person in Scouting enjoys a balanced programme of activities, events and experiences. Activities are an integral part of Scouting. But as well as being challenging physically, our activities help young people set and achieve goals and grow in confidence.

Cubs Litter Pick June 2026 (item updated 04 June 2026)

One good turn deserves another (and a pizza sunset)

Cubs out and about with their litter pickers and bags

Last night our Cubs swapped the meeting hall for the streets around Greenhill. On went the gloves, out came the litter pickers, and off they went to give our local patch a proper tidy-up. And the timing couldn’t have been better — as soon as we stepped out, the rain stopped. The sun shines on the righteous, as one of our leaders put it!

They worked their way around the shops on Meadowhead, filling bag after bag and leaving the pavements looking a whole lot brighter. It’s a hands-on way to live out one of the things Cubs are all about: helping other people. And they did it with brilliant energy from start to finish — such a positive bunch.

One good turn deserves another. To say thank you for cleaning up around the shops, the generous team at Sunset Pizza on Meadowhead treated the whole pack to two free 20″ pizzas and a huge box of chips. Not a bad reward for an evening’s hard work!

So it turns out there was no gold at the end of the rainbow last night — it was a pizza sunset instead 😂. (The gold must have been at the other end.)

We’re so grateful to Sunset Pizza for their kindness — it was greatly appreciated by every Cub (and every leader!). This is exactly what our community is all about: local people looking out for one another. A fab, productive night all round ⚜️.

If you’re passing Sunset Pizza on Meadowhead, do pop in and say hello — they’ve more than earned it.

You're in Good Hands.

My volunteer leaders believed in me as a young person.

I want a new generation to learn the skills, friendship and belonging I felt when I needed them most. I want to show that the outdoors is a place for all of us to be at our best, that Scouts is truly open to all.
